Ya know I am going to share something with you all that I normally wouldn't do, but I feel compelled to today. This might get a little religious, so if you don't like that sort of thing please stop reading now.

I would have to say my connection to God and religion has always been kinda unbalanced. When I was really young I question my religion. "Faith" wasn't that strong in me. Although something always compelled me to pray every now and then. The prayer would vary for many things like: a new video game, hoping to get the attention of a girl, making the team, etc. Mostly things that were selfish in nature. Eventually as I got a older some bad things started to happen that really shook my "faith".

I am not going to dwell on it too much. I do remember that even though my "faith" was shook, I asked God the question that people ask when in doubt. "Why? Why me?"

Years later I understand, "Why me?". He has been showing me "Why it is me." Let me take you back for a second...

November 10, 2005 - I hit rock bottom. I was involved in a serious car accident. Amazingly no one was hurt. Well, except me...but....basically my car flipped over 4 times down a incline. The police officer said, "You shouldn't have survived this." I swear that is what he said. But here I was getting out of a car on my own two feet with only a gash on my elbow and missing glasses. As I rode to the hospital. I became scared...not because of my injury, but what this might mean to my family. Luckily everything was okay until...I lose my job.

Alright...after trying to get a new job over and over again, trying to stay positive, the home life becoming more and more stressful, and my son needing insulin. I broke down and begged God to give me a pathway out. The next day the idea came up about joining the army. My wife instantly said, "Do it". I wasn't sure the whole time, hell even my cousin came to visit me to talk to me about joining before I did it and he lives in Texas.

Well, you all know I did it. So far I have asked God to find a way for me to thru everything lately and honestly he hasn't let me down. Today, I prayed to finally get answer on being approved for Mid Tour leave. I have been waiting for almost 2 months now. (The process shouldn't take this long) I remained patient about it and kept my "Faith" about it during that time.

2 Hours later I got my answer. This was the conversation...

Ring Ring (My cellphone)
ME: PFC MCNeil
Sgt: McNeil good news...your leave has been approved.
ME: Hooah, Sergeant.
Sgt.: Go get your ticket.

And there it was...just like that. I don't care what anyone says, "Prayer & Faith" works. I will be honest with you. I am not the most religion person on the block and I have my vices. But I believe my intentions are always good and I have learn to make the best out of every disaster. Again and please take this to heart, because I live my life through this statement from my mother:

"God will never put more on you than you handle..."

I finally know now who has been spitting in my drink....

.....and I am going to keep sipping from it. :)

Let's see where to begin with this...? I haven't really done my job yesterday. Although I was told that I will be the Assistant to servers for the Warrant Officers in my section. Yea...if there was anything I didn't know much about with computers is servers. Oh well, it just another challenge and another opportunity for me to learning something new.

Another thing I am on the BOSS committee (like Student Government), I needed something to do while I am here. I can't go to school because my credits aren't excepted by any school that caters to Web + Graphic designing. I ain't in the business of starting over either. So, to keep from going nuts I gave myself something more to do. I was hoping only to come in to design there website and do graphic advertisement, but I was quickly told by a Sergeant Major (brain surgeon) that I will be setting up and planning events. Also, he wants me to be President of BOSS in our area...hmmm...more on that later. I can't complain, some of the stuff seems cheesy, but it gives a chance and a good reason to get out. Plus, we have trips around the country and such, so maybe I can stop looking a camo all the time and see more than bland shit.

How are you all liking the videos I put up. I try to record stuff that might be interesting or funny. I had more stuff, but it didn't seem like much to put up. We are having an exercise in March coming up and which wear pretty much all of our gear. Very stupid if you ask me, but it is what it is... All we will be doing is setting up networks and maintaining this. Can't go off post and have to work on the weekend. Usually working up to 12 hours a day. AWESOME

As life evolves....

Right now I am focused on one thing and that's going home in June. I can't wait. I miss my girl...I know you hate when I call you that.

Real brief here...Boy I feel good, but I am very sore today. I actually did some real exercising yesterday. I took upon myself to ask my sergeant (PT stud) to help me get right physically. Not because of a PT test or anything like that. I just want to "Be More" (remember that), so he put the hurt on me for 45 minutes. Now sit here not wanting to move at all...but it feels good because I know where this will take me.

Today I don't have to do morning PT (it sucks), I have to go to work early to get trained on some system. So, I will speak with you all later.

DAMN! What a weekend...A 4 day goes by, Obama is in the White House! Look ma! There is a black man in the White House!

As for this weekend...let me tell you. I don't remember being more annoyed ever in my life. Yes, I know I can get up on here and rant with the best. I was really trying my best not to write about anything negative, but I can't hold back! It needs to be said!, "WHY DO YOU HAVE YOUR MUSIC SO DAMN LOUD!!". Here is the funny thing when you ask someone this...they have no answer. My wife says, "You only see things in black & white...." That is true most of the time, but I try to see the rainbow at times, but when common sense and stupidity dominates my atomsphere, I can't help to hold back. If there is not a person this Earth who can help me understand positive reason to blast music at all times during the day or night...then the whole subject and those who do should be placed in a locked 6 X 6 room for 8 hours for a week, sit in chair with hands tied behind there backs and have to listen to William Hung, Mariah Carey and Ying Yang Twins played backwards, forwards, skipped, scratched, at different intervals, at the highest volume levels with no bass in them! Oh, and don't forget make sure it chopped and Skrewed too... Then just maybe they can understand what I have to deal with.

I understand I am older and they are younger, but the shit is much more than that. What happened to have common respect for your neighbor? I guess they mama never gave them proper home training...(low blow I know and it felt good)

Here is the scenario who don't understand what is going on...We all live in a 12 X 12 rooms. We all have one Roommate, but we don't stay in the same room, we have a common area to our bathroom and kitchen area. So, the person who is my roommate, the person to the right of me who isn't my roommate and the person on the 1st floor below me ALL HAVE THERE MUSIC BLASTING!!! The one below is actually taken it a step further by waking up at 2:30am to argue with him girlfriend...yea...he does that...conversation outside his room...waking everyone up and gets mad when people tell him to be quiet...Children..I am surround by fucking grown ass children. I told him if you had any game you cut that chick loose and let us sleep. He didn't respond when I told him that...sensitive I guess.

So....that what it was like this weekend for me...where I tried to enjoy it....I was nothing more pissed, unable to sleep and tense.

Jan. 12 for some and the Jan. 13 for others. I'm actually starting to feel like I am in the army for the first time. It sounds weird I know, but I actually some what feel like I am being productive. Korea isn't bad, I find a lot of humor in....oh hell I will say it...the Koreans are funny people. Especially, when they get excited about stuff. To me I see a reflection people from the US here. This is what I mean...

Take 50 Cent right? There is a Korean guy who is an MP, huge physically, and carries a demeanor like 50. They call him "Gangsta", I'm not lying! Even on the dispatch radio...they call "Gangsta". I don't even know his real name at all. Don't think I want to....

Since being here I am taking the tiime to research going to college while here to earn a Bachelor Degree. I have narrowed it down, but I need to ask more questions before making a choice. I could possibly get a Bachelor Degree in Year and half. That I could do and use.

I am also trying to learn some of the language. I just know three words so far.

Damn, I am so sick right with missing everyone. You know me always being out there with it? Well, you wouldn't recognized me right now. I am so quiet now, I barely talk to anyone. Actually, my buddy here right now is a Master Sgt, 1st Sgt and a 2nd LT. We pretty much stick together.

Anyhow I will be in Camp Walker in Area IV. Which is about 4 hours south of Yongsan. In totaled I will have traveled of 22 hours and I think over 9,000 miles...? I think, don't ask me how I figured that out.

For living conditions, I was staying in a hotel the 1st night it was off the chain. I laid on the bed knocked the fuck out. Funny thing is we are a day ahead of you, so the flight over here the sun never went down and I saw the Arctic.

Now unfortunately, I have to stay in a 4 man with one other person til Jan. 8th and then we move to Camp Walker. I just want my 1 man (or maybe 2 man).

Anyhow, I am just sitting in a public place just to go online. My stomach is tore up from the food. The Master Sgt wants to go out and get some octopus to eat.

Let me bust this myth, story, legend or whatever you call it:

Alright let talk about things that happened on my way here. I like to call this...

The Move...

December 14th, the first leap was to get a hitch installed onto the car and then get a trailer (u-haul). Once we got all that taken care of, December 15th we started the move up to Virginia Beach, VA. The drive was suppose to take 7 1/2 hours, but that shit took 10 hours!!! I drove 9 1/2 hours worth of! BTW, I didn't sleep the night before. So, yeah...you could imagine how I was. Also, Augusta is nothing more than extenstion of South Carolina. We started at 2am, we hit South Carolina quick, making good time. The problem was: it was dark, heavy fog, moderate rain and my wife slept most of the way! Anyhow, we are two hours into it, my wife decides to ask me, "Didn't they shoot the movie "Wrong Turn", in North Carolina?" People...what kind of question is that to ask someone driving in the dark, in the woods, rain and fog? I could have just cussed her ass out for that one...

The Close Call

I'm coming around a bend in the dark...in the corner of my eyes on my right...there are not trees, no fencing, just...nothing...but dark and fog...nothing. Scared the shit out of me...you have to see it, to understand this...driving on a highway in Georgia and South Carolina there is no lighting on the road. Just imagine the road, like I described...

The other close call, was going past some road construction, again still dark, fog, rain, etc. They had rounded construction Cones out, but they had no reflection!! So, as I am driving I hear "Zeooommmm" like every 3 seconds! I'm like, "what is that?!" Finally, I get a good look at it, the road has changed into a single lane and I'm about to go off the road! I slowed the fuck down to 30 mph almost and took my time thru it...this is all for Wisconsin ya....

The Rudeness of Virginia

Enough about driving...We get to our new apartment in Virginia Beach. The place is huge, but when we walk into the apartment it was ice cold. We had no electricity...okay...I said to myself, "Just got to call and have someone come out and fix." I had no idea that the electric company in Virginia Beach are some bitches! These muthafuckaz gon' (ghetto) tell me,

"Oh, we had someone out on Monday to turn it on, but the breakers were on and he couldn't get it on. Mr. McNeil we can have someone come out today, but they will be there somewhere between now and 11pm." Ya got that right? Read it again please....?

Here are the questions that pop in my head from hearing this shit...

1. Why didn't you call me or tell the apartment management on Monday that there was a problem?

2. Can I have a time (or estimated time) to know when the Tech will come out?

They said upon answering this questions:

"(1) The tech doesn't call or tell the management there was a problem, because they don't, they have to get to there next job.

"(2) We don't give estimated times for when a tech will be out."

I thought the price I was paying for electric in Wisconsin was bad...but this is some bullshit. Anyhow they finally came out at 5pm. It took the guy only 5 minutes to get it going. Any that a bitch? We ended up going to be bed around 12:30am and waking back up at 5am, to go to the airport.
The flight...

It was too easy...like butter baby, pure butter. (em good)

The Return

Yes it cold, but isn't bothering me too much. My wife is more cold than me. There is snow on the ground, but isn't bad. Even though there going to be (possible) up to 11" of snow coming in tonight.

We went to see the family around 4pm once we got here, and they were surprise to see us and happy to see us too. My mother hasn't even put the tree up yet, she will do it before we leave. We still have a lot of people to see before we leave. Other than the snow, returning to Wisconsin is going well.

Who would have thought I would say, "Returning to Wisconsin...?" It feels good...

1 of the best weekends in a while...

I must admit that this weekend was good. I relieved a lot of stress and could have relieved a lot more (E.O.C)!! I wasn't bother too much, I got to do what I wanted to do. Nobody pissed me off, I slept, ate and woke up when I wanted to.

Got to give a lot of props to the wife, it weird with her, cause she doesn't have to do much to make me feel special, but he herself. That is a good thing right?

They are seriously gunning for me...missed one situp and they want to take my weekends away. That shit any happennin', it been too long for this bullshit.

Look this coming Friday is my birthday. From what I have read what is required for me to pass the APFT is lower on that day. So, either way they have to give my weekend back. Also, by then I should be settling up with some orders. If that the case I am still going to be gone. I will not be at Ft. Gordon this weekend and I don't give a fuck a more. Being treated like a child is no go for me. Other AIT locations don't treat soldiers like this.

That all I am going to say about this for now. I have a Xbox 360 waiting for me.

This is it... the final week AIT training at Ft. Gordon (doesn't mean I am leaving right now). This week is the Capstone. 4 days of boredom, gunfires, smokings and whatever else.

The idea of going to Korea is becoming and more acceptable in my head. The Pros are heavily outweighing the negative. However I must keep in mind what is good for my family and then me. So, I will still try to stay in Georgia, but I don't think it is the right thing to do in the long run.

I just got Fable II, the game is great. I can't stop playing it. Next games I need to get is: WWE Smackdown vs. Raw '09, Soul Calibur IV and Tomb Raider Underworld to name a few.

As far as this Holiday season coming around. I feel little shitty, I feel like I won't see my family or close friends back in Wisconsin. I hope you all know I miss you.

Yet again....we are at another weekend. The weight is heavy now. I have to beat an EOC on Friday unless something magical happens that prevents me from doing it. I told the devil I won't be coming back there and now there is a possiblity I will be returning to battle the devil one more time for 3 years. The good....? The wife gets to come. More weight (I bet you thought that was it huh?) I have a test on Monday...I haven't studied for shit, plus I missed Thursday and Friday class. Stupid Sinus infection, but shit happens. I know I will pass, just stressing for nothing.

I have been wanting to go and see "Eagle Eye", but instead I brought my wife a computer, computer desk and chair, The Sims 2 games, etc. We've been home all weekend. I brought Madden '09 and I haven't touched it yet. I need to get up owe my shit ya!

Phased up to a Phase 5+, that means I can stay away from Ft. Gordon on the weekends. Hell yeah. Feels good knowing that. I got 4 days and I will be enjoying the freedom and quiet of my apartment.

I am in a 4 man barracks right now. Getting better sleep and my ankles are feeling better, which is great.

I haven't failed an class and I have no problems with anyone at Fort Gordon, except one actually and usually worries more about me than me worrying about him.

What up people? A lot of good and bad things are happening with me. My wife is moving down to Georgia soon. I will be very happy and I know where I will be spending my weekends.

Bad news is that there is something medically wrong with her, that we just found out about. Out of respect I won't say what it is, but isn't good. Deep down it is tearing us inside. I just can't get out of this thing whole bad luck thing. I mean too many bad things happen to me, that out weights the good thing. Some say I focus too much on the negatives, but when it constantly making itself known, how can you not focus on it?

Well what the fuck do you know? A fluke of things perhaps? As much as I don't want to be here and try to be lo-key here at Ft. Gordon, there are people here interested in making apart of Student Leadership. I just became room commander on Monday. It not a big deal, but I guess it got me noticed. They say I am squared away, but I just think I am too annoyed and I have to get aggressive to get shit done.

I just found my wife a apartment last Saturday. She is moving down here during the first week of September. I am happy about it. As it stands I haven't failed a class and yet. I am on schedule to graduate during the 1st or 2nd week of November. After I plan on taking a small vacation. Come home and visit the family and then off to Florida or something I don't know. My wife and I missed our anniversary and I got to get that ass pregnant. That right she still wants kids. I told I got to have at least 5. Making a total of 6 including Zay. LOL!

So, here is the deal. I am working on a way to get my wife out of Wisconsin. Money is somewhat tight. I want to move her soon too! I can't decide how to get her down here though. I thought of the cheapest route possible and that would be getting a U-Haul truck, but the problem with that, is that she needs someone to drive for her. She won't drive here, she is afraid to drive on a highway! :(

The other option would be to pay for a moving service, but that is currently sitting at $2000.00 to start with. That ain't going to happen, unless..... Nah....
I am 90% the Army won't move her down here. That option isn't even there.

My wife says something that is so true, that I wish it wasn't. We don't function well apart. What she means is that the stress that comes with being apart start to effect things outside of our relationship. I know that many people go thru this, I just hate that it is us going thru it. We are both doing well, but often times it a struggle to keep it together. We have both grown since I have left in March. I just hope this was all worth it, ya know?

So, utterly annoyed right now. Part of the reasons I hate having room mates is because they do shit that truly isn't fair to do to a person. Something is bubbling underneath the surface inside of me. I can't tell what it is yet...but it's there and this could get bad. Sitting here right now in my barracks at Fort Gordon and man I am bored out of mind. It is real easy to loose your mind here. All you do is:

Get up at 4:30am for Physical Training
Then go eat
Go to school between 8:30 and 4:30pm. (Don't go to sleep!!)
4:30pm to 5:15pm Mail call (Woohoo!)
5:15pm to 6pm/6:30pm stupid training.
Then after that we have dinner and maybe some free time to ourselves
We have to be in the bed by 9pm...wow I feel like I am a kid.

I don't know...I can't type anymore, I have to get my milk and cookies and go to bed...seriously.

You know at times...I feel like I made a bad decision. Like I was running away from the financial problems at home or something. Then I think about how important it was for me to join the Army. I think that coming into the army at the age of 31 was a bad idea. I should have did it earlier, too late now.

Today, I had the opportunity to phase up and stop being a Phase fuckin' 4. Basically, it means that if I phased up. I would have more freedom. Then I could look for an apartment and got my wife and dog down here. NOPE! Stupid locker kept me from accomplishing that task today.

Oh, well I will get it this week coming up, guaranteed. I am becoming somewhat of a celebrity here at AIT. Everyone knows me and they want me to move into a leadership role. It would be nice, but I am not in the mood to babysit kids here. Maybe at my duty station.
I am seriously considering volunteering for Korea. Fuck Iraqi. Who wants to go there and deal with camel spiders?

So, I come back to a quiet board for ES Fansite. Nothing there and it isn't anyone fault. CJ has done a great job in absence. We are all missing Ewa right now. IT sucks big time. The whole I was in Basic training I missed Ewa, Jana and my wife.

Right now in AIT is our weekend. Right now I am unfortunately a Phase IV. Phase IV pretty much has to clean and go to school everyday! IF you are a Phase V or Phase V+ you can leave off post or stay out 1 am, etc. etc. Basically you have freedom! I hate being a Phase IV, I basically have to prove myself again to get freedom. It stupid. I have to take a Army Knowledge test. Competely a Class A and Wall locker inspection, write down Policy letter 17 & 19 ( 9 pages!) and then recite the Army Song, Signal song and the Soldier's Creed. Fuckin' HOORAH! It annoying just to have freedom, but I will tell you this much!, When I am free! I am getting a hotel over the weekend and calling the wife down and getting busy.

Speaking of the wife...

She wants kids really badly right now. We have been trying for a while now. We know that it is one of us. She is so afraid it her, we got into it the other day because I believe in only having children by "natural" means and not "scienitific" means. (That my opinion and my wife so deal with it!) It good now though, we have worked things out.

Well it curfew here right now....who would have thought that at the age of 31...I would have a flippin' curfew?

Anniversary today and I can't be with the wife at all. However, the Army considering moving her down to Georgia with me. I hope so, I miss her and I need the sex. Life has improved a lot since I have been gone. Ya know?, like insurance for the family. Making some serious money and what not now.

AIT here is decent. While I was in Basic Training it was pretty much a lot of discipline and physical prowness. Here it is all brains and patients. Very laid back here. No more 2 or 3 hour long smoke sessions. No ruck sack marches, no rope climbs and no more MR-fuckin' E's! That shit is nasty.

I am about 30% on getting this computer truly squared away to being able to post awesome content for you all again. I need to get an air card. I am looking into getting one from AT&T cingular wireless. Any suggestions? Any opinions? My service for my phone is thru AT&T cingular. I also need to get my Adobe Creative Suite 3 on here, but that task won't be easy, until I get my air card.

Online schooling....need advice!

Alright boys and girls! I am posing this questions or discussion to you all.

I want to go back to school to either obtain my bachelor's degree or get certified in Multimedia (using Adobe products mostly). However, I need to do the schooling online.

Now I looked at University of Phoenix, but they want too much in tution for me to attend and also they have one of the worst completion precentage out there. Only 16% of students actually graduate from there and the state average is 55%.

My other choice is that I am seriously considering is sessions.edu, I found out about from reading the book, "How To Cheat In Flash CS3", written by Chris Georgenes. Which is a great book for those of you who want to learn some tricks to animating and stuff in flash. Chris is an instructor at Sessions.edu. The only problem is that this online school is only offering ceritications. I kinda would prefer a bachelors degree.

BTW, I live in Wisconsin....

So, here is the mission if you choose to accept, please if you can answer any of these questions for me:

1. What other online learning schools are out there, that is really good? Ceritification or degrees for completion doesn't matter. Just lead me to the water and I might drink it.

2. Has any of you gone or heard anything about someone attending Sessions.edu?

3. What other options should I look at?

4. Can you and where. who could you look for real Grants to help pay for tution?

Today is the day I was in a serious car accident 3 years ago. A car accident in which I should have died in. To make it worst I was in another not as bad 36 days later. I have kept the thought of enjoying life first and observing patients since that time.

As we get older the days move faster and we forget things. I am doing my best to take thing slow, to stop and observe everything.

How are things? Good I hope. Nothing new here really except the job is good. Not really stressful and the environment is good. I am trying my best not to let everything go to my head.

It hard to adjust to this job now. Not only is it an hour away. I have to wake up 5am! When I was at the Home Depot I was coming home around that time. Even now while I type this, I feel the urgency to find something to do, when I should be getting ready bed.

Here is something interesting my wife and I have been kidding about for last couple of days. How come all of the non-african americans friends we have, we are there only african american friends? I mean, as ghetto and ignorant I can come off, they love me. I don't get it, it an enigma. Just now 2 of the girls at my wife's work want to hang out with us?! WHY!? LOL!? I don't get people sometimes, I know I come being loud and funny at times, but what you don't know is I love silence so much. I can sit in a dark room, with no windows, doors and be happy.

We when bowling this weekend with my friend, it was her birthday. As always when I haven't bowled in a long time it takes me a few frames to get back into it. I must have my mother's genes when comes to bowling. My mother is a champion, no seriously she is. I don't take the sport seriously. When I get my groove back from not bowling for a while. I can hit "strikes" after "strikes" after "strikes". I am so cocky at times that even before the ball hits the pins I turn my back on it and call it out.

I am feeling depressed today. Every time a month passes the worst I feel about the job hunting situation in my life right now. I pray for a change and nothing happens. Too many companies calling only to say, "Oh, I didn't know you live so far away" or "You mean your not looking for a customer service position?". It just getting irritating.

I don't know what to do anymore. I am getting tired of trying to find a solution. Right I am working at the Home Depot and it must be hell or something. It like when it employers see that is where I have been working they don't want to hire me, because I worked and I have no experience in the web/graphic design field. Only two have looked at my portfolio! Can you fucking believe that? I spent a whole three weeks putting that thing together and you don't have the decency to look at my portfolio, but you have the gull to tell me that I don't have experience? How do you know what I can do if you are looking at the whole package?

I know deep down inside someone is going to hire me, and when they do...oh boy....the gold mine of employee they will find. You see my is set to go, I'm ready to work and get that retirement, that 401k shit and all that. Been ready for too long, I ain't like other people, I don't accept shitty job positions. People settle too much these days, cuz it's the easy way out. Not me, not now, not ever.
